I had a dream once where a lioness came right up to my face, touched her forehead to mine and telepathically said, "If I could have children I WOULD." She actually growled it. She was very angry.

I woke up from that dream and thought, "Wow, what could that mean?"

That was a few years ago when I was in the midst of trying to get pregnant. It took us 5 years, a few months at a fertility clinic, and an IUI procedure in order for us to get pregnant. It makes me laugh today because I knew exactly what the dream meant at the time, but I refused to hear the message.

Sometimes dreams bring us messages that we don't want or that we can't understand because we're too close to it. It can take time to learn from dreams and allow their messages to integrate into our lives.

Think back over your most memorable dreams. Do they have messages for you now that you are further removed from them? Can you see what they were illustrating about your life then? Do they have any guidance for you now? This is why dream journals are such a wonderful idea. You can capture the story, the imagery and the symbolism of your dream forever- so that you can revisit your dreams when you're open to their insight.
