Automobiles play an important role in dreams. They represent the dreamer’s persona or what he portrays to the outside world. When there is a car in a dream, consider its condition. Is it a fancy new shiny car or a run down old car? Does the car function properly or is it having difficulty running? Who is driving the car (meaning: is the dreamer in the driver’s seat or is he taking a back seat to what is going on in his life)?  Also, pay attention to the condition of the terrain on which the automobile is traveling as this represents the dreamer’s current path. For example, dreaming of driving on a path that runs out indicates some unknown future ahead.
