Buildings in dreams represent one’s exterior persona that is shown to the world. In a dream, what goes on inside a building represents what’s going on inside the dreamer and what goes on outside a building represents the dreamer’s interactions with the world outside of himself. Pay attention to the type of building and the condition of the building that is in the dream (Is it new, representing a new persona? Is it old and worn out, representing a sense of appearing worn out and old to the outside world? etc). Levels are also important inside of a building. The ground floor represents the present; a basement represents either the past, or one’s unconscious or both; and a higher level (2nd or more stories) represents the future or one’s higher conscious self (spiritual self) or both.
