                                                Vulgar/Disturbing Dreams

Dreams that are too vulgar or disturbing to discuss upon waking often represent an issue, concern or emotion that is very deeply rooted in the unconscious mind. They bring up issues for us that we have been hiding or denying on a conscious level and need to address. Consider writing about the dream in a diary or on a piece of paper that you don’t have to show to anyone. Or consider telling the dream to a close friend who won’t judge you and who can allow you to express the dream in its entirety. With disturbing or vulgar dreams, the content is only a metaphor for what is really going on. Your unconscious is giving you a tangible situation to use, look at, and interpret so that you can deal with the real underlying theme that you’ve been denying.
